Delete account
This page explains how to delete your account and what happens next. The easiest way is to request deletion from the app. If you cannot open the app, you can request it from here.
Steps in the app
- Open the app and sign in to your account.
- Go to “My account” and choose “Delete account”. [final path confirmed before launch]
- Read the notice that explains what will be deleted, then choose “Confirm deletion”.
- After you confirm, access to the app and the website stops straight away, and your data is deleted according to the schedule below.
What is deleted
- Your account data: your name, the linked Google account, your WhatsApp number, and your study details.
- Your progress and answers, flashcards, study history and streaks.
- App settings and preferences, and the device data linked to your account.
What may be kept
Some data may be kept for a set period for legal or accounting reasons. The period is the one required by law. After that it is deleted or made anonymous.
There is no refund after deletion, and no voluntary refund.
If you have lost access to your account
If you have lost your Google account or WhatsApp number, start an account repair request through the official channels first, so you can get back in and delete the account later.
Request deletion from this website
This request is for people who cannot open the app. Sign in with the Google account linked to your account. We will send a WhatsApp code to your registered number, and then you confirm the deletion.
